Learn how to use breathwork to clear blocks and upgrade your inner state.

We all can (and must) breathe–and thus we all have the capability to experience the profound physiological, emotional, and spiritual effects of breathwork.

Breathwork has been used for thousands of years to access the stillness that exists beyond the thinking mind. It is an indispensable method for supporting the body’s peak health and vitality, increasing concentration and awareness, and experiencing profound love and fulfilment from within.

This five-day journey, which includes both lecture and guided breathwork by master teacher Scott Schwenk, creates a safe, accessible container to begin (or build upon) a transformative breathwork practice.

Meet Your Teacher

A hybrid of practicality and visionary insight, Scott Schwenk has been catalyzing the inner evolution and leadership development of individuals, relationships, and larger groups and organizations for more than 25 years. His work and teaching is a blend of stillness, unexpected expansion, laughter, discovery and potent, actionable insights revealing dynamic inner freedom and a thriving outer life.

Born with intense empathy and clairaudience (intuitive hearing) already online, Scott sought understanding and freedom at every turn. Having spent several years living and studying in a Hindu-Tantric monastery in his mid-twenties, Scott has cultivated a number of long apprenticeships in leadership development, tantric meditation/philosophy, spiritual awakening, Vedic ritual, and facilitating later stage adult ego development. In the private sector, the bulk of Scott’s work is coaching clients in waking up, growing up, cleaning up, and showing up. A featured teacher for over four years at Unplug Meditation Studios, Scott offers weekly public classes at the Wanderlust Hollywood Studio in Los Angeles, is a regular teacher at Wanderlust and Wellspring Festivals in various locations, and leads regular retreats at 1440 Multiversity.

Scott credits working consistently over time with incredible mentors and teachers, starting as a small boy. Among those he honors and deeply thanks are Gurumayi Chidvilasananda, Sally Kempton, Venita Ramirez, David Elliott, D.R. Butler, and the YMCA Leaders Corps.

How Commune Courses Work

Here at Commune, learning is a collective experience: Once the course begins on August 19, you will receive a daily email with access to course videos. This encourages all participants to move through the course together! After August 23, the free period will end and the course will lock. If you want immediate, permanent access, you can buy the course.

We need breath for our body; we need our body to breathe. Scott teaches us how to engage the body in this powerful three-part breath that is the heart and lungs of the practice, and we get out first taste of an Ecstatic Breathwork session.

In Day 2, Scott teaches us how to dissolve habitual thinking patterns to make space for abundance and expansion.

Today, we call upon an intention to guide our efforts before diving into a deep breathwork practice. Scott shares strategies, tactics and tools for using breathwork to realize our intention and our chosen feeling state.

We learn how to identify where difficult memories and emotions are trapped in the body, and how to use breath to release them.

In Day 5, we learn how–and why– to take this practice off the mat and into each and every moment of our lives.

"I have been breathing my whole life but Scott introduced me to my true breath. One session with Scott was more impactful and spiritually awakening than I could have ever imagined. He is such a generous teacher and mentor with a warrior spirit."

"I found Scott early on my meditation journey. From the beginning, his insight, knowledge and passion taught me to go deeper into the practice and to get quiet when the world is spinning. I utilize his “Six Points of Softening” on a regular basis. If you choose to work with Scott, trust that things will begin to shift for you."

"Scott’s the real deal! He led me to the gateway of flow state, on the cushion and out in the real world. I’m more focused, more productive, and waaaaaay more prone to bouts of spontaneous joy. Do you ever feel like you could be living your most fantastical, in the moment, awesome life if you could get out of your own way? Yeah that was me too. If that resonates, work with him! He will guide you with love, humor and bonus sprinkles of life hacks along the way."

Why Ecstatic Breathwork?

Year after year, our experiences build upon one another, storing imprints in the body and in the nervous system.

These undigested past experiences can create blocks, preventing us from accessing the feelings of freedom and fullness that exist beneath the layers. These imprints cannot be ‘thought’ away; but, we can use intentional breathwork to bring them to the surface and clear them out of the body.

Guided, ecstatic breathwork is a simple but powerful technique to clear these imprints and create space to access and expand our consciousness–on and off the mat.

No matter where you are in your wellness journey, breathwork is a powerful tool for deep inner work and ground-breaking personal growth.

"My core practice is the practice of being true to the present moment, ever deepening my capacity to embody that Love which has no outer cause; to be free from attachment to this world while wholeheartedly showing up and savoring the joy and gift of being in a body on this gorgeous living breathing planet  – and from that foundation, to support those who are deeply called to the work of 'Waking Up, Growing Up, Cleaning Up, and Showing Up.'"
