What You'll Learn

There’s some poignant wisdom in the phrase, “Measure twice, cut once.” Action for action’s sake is never as effective as action supported by the right questions and strategy. Likewise, wellness “treatments” are momentary tools, ineffective on their own for achieving sustained well-being.

I don’t know where I’m meeting you on your wellness journey. Maybe you’re doing all the treatments but still feeling a ways off from “optimal.” Maybe you’re working hard but not effectively and underperforming at your job, or maybe you’re feeling disconnected from the people who matter. Wherever your sticking points, our voyage through this course will give you the tools to get clear on your purpose and show up with meaning.

As we prepare for Day 1 tomorrow, celebrate yourself for setting out on the path to lasting, exuberant wellness. Come to the course with an open mind for earnest personal dialogue and you’ll lay the groundwork for better performance, better experiences, and true depth to your life.

I can’t wait to get started with you!

Real well-being starts with awareness. You’ve got to know where you are in order to find clarity on where you’re going.

Today we’ll ask some tough questions of ourselves and check in with every area of our life. We’ll use what we find as a foundation to realign our goals, our lives, and to start to give more to the people and situations around us that need the most attention.

When you ask better questions, you get better answers. This may seem like common sense, but common sense is rarely common practice. When we get clear on our purpose, we give ourselves freedom to be more intentional, and consequently we’re able to show up for the situations that need us. Today we learn how to ask those better questions and use the answers to achieve more for ourselves and our community.

Today we learn the first step to dealing with overwhelm - settling firm boundaries. There are many situations in life we can’t control, and when those things all pile on at once and we don’t react appropriately, we slowly sink underwater. Beat back the tide using boundaries to prioritize what’s really important and carve out time to pursue what makes you truly well and helps you perform at a high level.

Today’s course walks you through best practices, habits, and mindsets for dealing with stress. Examine your life and identify your stress points, using Brendon’s techniques to release your tension and get back to showing up like you want. Together we’ll prepare for the eventuality of stress by adjusting our relationship with it.

When we set clear expectations, we work with our stress proactively, not reactively, opening up new ways to cope with the problems that weigh on us.

We experience two types of joy. One is momentary, when something funny happens or a nice word is said in passing and we laugh or smile - for a bit, we’re filled with joy. The other is long term and lasting, sustained by gratitude and a life of meaning and purpose. If we’re waiting on joy to enter our life, we’re not living as connected or congruent as we could be.

When we work to strategically cultivate joy, we give more to people around us and, in turn, we create bonds that enable a cycle of joy begetting joy and vibrancy begetting vibrancy.

When our bodies shut down, everything shuts down. Our plans, our responsibilities, and the people who rely on us fall by the wayside. If we want to give in meaningful ways and contribute more, we need to make sure we’re keeping ourselves physically well.

Today’s session will focus on the different ways we can care for our body, from better sleep hygiene to eating for sustained well-being. Explore how feeling better can lead you to doing more, and feeling better while doing it.

The way we relate to our past and future can have major repercussions for how we engage with our present. When we are consumed with worry over how things went or how they will go, it’s impossible to fully engage with the here and now.

To dance freely in the moment is the hardest spirituality practice in the world. Limber up and let’s get moving.

You’ve learned the importance of getting clear on your purpose and how high performers use their personal mission to motivate and energize every action. You may be saying, “Brendon, I have no idea what my purpose is and I have no idea how to find it. How can I use my purpose if I’m unclear on what it is?”

Today we will ask the tough questions necessary to connect you with the unique driving force in your life. The things about purpose is that it’s almost never about isolation. We find and fulfill our purpose by connecting with and serving others.

This session takes the lessons we’ve learned throughout the course, and synthesize them into an approach for staying on track, long term. Today we’ll learn the importance of fostering accountability through community and how sharing our journey not only gives us additional support, but also makes us more likely to follow through.

As we’ve seen in this course, when you give more and open up to others, you get more in kind.

“What’s the most obvious outcome of managing your wellness? There’s a joy, a vibrancy, a positive energy about you. Other people are like, ‘What’s up with you? Why do you have so much fun? You must have some kind of secret, right?’”
