Hot For Hormones Weekend Retreat
An unusual women's retreat with Sara Gottfried, MD & Schuyler Grant.
Join us for a weekend of learning, movement, and community.
Topanga, CA // November 8-10, 2024
One thing undergirds everything in a woman's life: our incredible, roiling, sometimes combustible hormones. And when you get a petri dish of 30 women on a property in Topanga... watch out world!
Join acclaimed doctor and author Sara Gottfried, MD, alongside yoga witch Schuyler Grant for a long weekend of rigor and restoration. Through both information and embodiment, we will dig into the complexity of modern womanhood. We invite you to bring whatever you've got going on under the hood… the questions and the inklings. The worries and the aspirations. We want all of you — every divine and deviant bit.
Sara will lead lectures and Q&As exploring the bridge between hormones, perimenopause, menopause and spirituality: How hormones initiate us, shifting us from householder to forest dweller.
Schuyler leads you out of your head and into your body with four 2-hour classes: morning classes will be vigorous flow style yoga, and afternoons we drop into slow flow idylls, including guided breath work and meditation. We will focus on four areas of the body that are specifically relevant to women’s strength and restoration.
Sara and Schuyler are thrilled to be collaborating for the first time, and welcome anything and everything YOU bring to the weekend.

She is a co-founder of Wanderlust and the founder of Kula Yoga Project, and is dedicated to bringing her students deep and transformative mind-body experiences.
Our Playground
At the end of the end of the end of a road, perched atop a remote valley of the Santa Monica mountains, sits Topanga Commune: 10 acres of meandering paths, oak trees, palms and gardens abutting state land. You won’t believe you are less than an hour from the heart of LA.
The property has a main house, a guest house, four tea house private rooms, three sweet A-Frame cabins, and plenty of space for camping. Sleep on organic mattresses and linens and enjoy the bounty of LA’s best local farmers for every home-cooked meal.
The property also has a sauna, hot tub, plunge pool, basketball, badminton, and a plethora of hammocks.
Songwriter Neil Young lived on this property for many years and was deeply inspired by this magical spot. If there is anywhere in the world to find “a heart of gold,” it may be here.
