This playful 5-class series of drills and thrills with Chelsey Korus gets progressively more challenging with each class — so you can find your edge with a smile on your face! Expect to increase wrist mobility and core stability, develop keen body awareness, strengthen the scapular muscles, and further your understanding of slow, controlled movement. Chelsey Korus has been teaching yoga since the age of 15 and draws from numerous movement practices, including: Anusara, Power Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Acro, as well as martial arts, free form dance, and ballet. She brings her joy, wisdom, and exceptional depth of practice to every class.

Move past fear and into flight as Chelsey Korus shares the essentials of building a sustainable arm balance. Begin class with Chelsey's signature knuckle warm-ups, followed by innovative squat-and-fold sequencing. Today is all about understanding proper alignment, noticing the details, and finding length in the spine. How will you grow?
Go deep into shoulder awareness and strengthening—two necessities for arm balance excellence. Discover strength and whimsy as you move through your sun salutations (Surya Namaskar A), using playful foot claps to help you practice finding flight in transitions. End class in plow pose (Halasana) to stretch the spine and soothe the mind.
Chelsey turns up the heat in this class—use lessons from previous classes to practice hovering poses, Sun Salutations, and activated rest in Dolphin (Ardha Pincha Mayurasana). Then work your way into a unique take on Crow (Balasana) to inspire body awareness and practice flight. A strong core is crucial for arm balances—so class ends with Sphinx crunches and abdominal work in bridge. But don't stress; a delicious savasana is waiting for you.
Do you feel stronger yet? Test the power of the wrists, abs, and arms with sequences of scapula pushups, rock and rolls, plank variations, and gentle inversions. Class ends with a juicy forearm self-massage as a release and reward for those dedicated muscles.
It's time for lift-off! Practice your new set of skills with plank and blanket pushups, followed by chaturanga jump backs. Hone focus and serenity in plow and fish pose before launching in this classpack's peak: a Crow to Handstand transition. Finish with more self-massage and deep, grateful congratulations.
