The Lab: Kava Kava Sleep Tonic Recipe with Jason WrobelOct 06, 2021
We filmed this short behind-the-scenes recipe with chef Jason Wrobel while working on his Commune course, Good Mood Food about the interplay between nutrition and emotional health.

- 2 tablespoons dried kava kava root powder
- 2 cups hot chamomile tea, lightly steeped
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon organic virgin coconut oil
- 2-3 tablespoons monk fruit crystals, or to taste
- 1 dropper passionflower extract
- Pinch sea salt
Directions: Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender for 20-30 seconds until very smooth and creamy. Adjust the amount of sweetener to your preferred taste, as Kava Kava powder can have a bitter taste and slightly numbs the tongue.
